Process Design
|
- Define, model enterprise processes
- Provide a high level view of the
process: timing, major process threads
- Document detailed tasks and task
assignments by organizational role
- Define and program process variances
for a
Dynamic
Process Business System
|
|
Process Management
|
- Create an instance of the process
(e.g., one instance of the process provides one execution of the
process)
- Provide a unique process instance based
on varying needs of the deliverables or customers of the process
in a Dynamic Process
Business System
- Manage the process by providing a time
sensitive to-do list (what do I need to do today to ensure the
process is completed as planned)
- Provide process collaboration within
the corporate LAN environment and within the corporate Intra- or
Extra-net environment.

Continuous Process Improvement
|
Effective reporting of process
performance is essential in fine-tuning and maintaining an efficient
business system. The Process Roadmap ...
- Reports on details of past process
performance: timing of major activities, milestones (planned
versus actual)
- Provides tools to adjust the process
model for realistic timings or newly defined process elements
|
|
Technology Implement- ation
|
The basic technology
implementation provides two views of active processes:
- The workstation client provides access
for LAN connected or standalone users. It has the the look and
feel of the Microsoft Office family of products.
- Roadmaps Online, a web version,
provides access for remote users of the system.
Both versions operate from a common database
(SQL Server, Informix, Jet/Access or other).
